Lovely break

Had six nights at this site, lovely helpful wardens. The community shop a short walk away supplied all basic needs.Chip van friday good. Excellent butchers in nearby Buckden. The Wheatsheaf at Perry serves lovely food good prices. Yes there are potholes on the drive up to the site but can be avoided if youre a decent driver! Loved the resident owl. Will return

Quiet site except resident owl !!

Pretty little site. Very quiet. Not much in the shop but only a short walk to the community shop in the village. Facilities spotless. Wardens very helpful and friendly. Lots of wildlife to see including ducks and an owl. Great for children. Our 10 year old had a great time. Small play area. Only stayed 2 nights to try out a new (to us) caravan. Will be back.

Work needed

Very rural site but close to A1 and A14 so traffic rumble day and night. Only a short walk to Grafham water with facilities for walking water sports and cycling.  Small community shop in Grafham for essentials. No pub but there is an Indian restaurant.  Drive into the site is very poor large pot holes in the road are unavoidable.  It also looks very neglected in the drive as there is a derelict camp site at the entrance.  Looks poor and not to usual standards.  Facilities were clean and tidy. Wardens were really helpful and welcoming had just taken over and we're both very experienced. They had plans to make improvements to bring everything up to standard.  I was a little surprised that they were on their own to run the whole site.

Good Site for a Stop Over

Stayed here for one night, seems a little off the beaten track but ideal if travelling up the A1. The entrance route i didn't think would be as bad as it was and i would certainly have thought this would be addressed prior to opening. Wardens were friendly as ever and found the facilities nice and clean.

Not as good

We have stayed at Grafham on several occasions but staying there over the easter weekend we were disappointed to find the site not upto the club standard the access road was in dire need of repair as some of the pot holes were very deep, although the site had only  been open since the beginning Of March the tidiness was not up to standard as I am disabled the facilities were not cleaned over the four day holiday as the same spider and web were enjoying the sink to wall accommodation also a plastic bag was still on the window cill and talcum powder that was on the floor Thursday night on arrival was still there on departure on Monday the wardens were not seen to be about as much as the previous wardens who will be sadly missed if ever we return to Grafham.

Pitch 33 for me

Arrived on the first day of opening for the year to be greeted by a pair of really friendly wardens. The site was almost empty so we parked up on entry and had a walk around to pick a pitch.  The wardens told us about a quiet spot near one of the exits which we looked at and liked so that is where we stayed for the next 2 weeks. Pitch 33 was very quiet, next to the water, waste and toilets and opposite the grass section which was closed, so we had a couple of weeks of complete peace and quiet with great views across the fields. The warden helped me reverse onto the pitch which was large enough for the awning and car as well as the caravan. The long eared American owl was a constant companion from his nest near the bridge, plenty of other wild life on the site as well. All in all a great stay and we will open up the van at the same place next year.  NB don't have children so can't comment on the rating about families, there aught to be a N/A for this

Great site

Our 3rd visit to this site in 12 months. Great dog walking an a peaceful place. It was a shame we could only stay 3 nights. My only moan is the potholes in the road leading to the site which I believe is the Caravan Clubs road. These should have been filled in before they reopened this year. Wardens friendly and helpful.

Great location

We stayed there for a couple of nights 7-8th March our first caravan trip in 30 years :-) Lovely peaceful spot, really helpful and friendly wardens. The facilities were good and for a peaceful place with good walks especially around Grafham Water, it was brilliant.   Can't comment on family facilities as we were just the two of us. Tony & Nicola
