The Somerville Clan.

Being that this was our first trip to a club site and also new to caravanning we found the site as being easy to find and access. The site was well sign posted from leaving the motorway and around the village. Upon our arrival the staff were fantastic from the word go; with accomadating our needs and giving us some very good and useful advice about the site along with where to find all amenities. We had a few hiccups initially as you'd expect being newbies which again the duty  staff stepped up to help and check we had settled ok after our arrival. The site was impeccable and the only noise  we heard during our short stay was the wild life and the airshow from Duxford. I would  highly recommened this site and will most certainly be booking again (this time when the pool is open) Many thanks to the staff for an enjoyable stay.

Superb site

Our second visit to this site and it didn't disappoint a lovely well cared for site and wardens who go the extra mile to help although it's a good drive from Peterborough the town is well worth a visit all the shops you can think of and a beautiful Cathedral to boot! Well worth a visit

Nicest site we have stayed on this year

Extremely quiet site. The resident long eared owl was the only noise at night and during the day there is no traffic noise. Delightful site with trees all the way around the perimeter and spotted around the middle. Small site with around 60 pitches but plenty of room between vehicles. The site managers have to be complimented on how spotlessly clean the site and all the facilities are. Thank you to you both. Great for dog walking and excellent if you have a bike, loads of cycle tracks especially around the 8 mile perimeter of the reservoir. No large shop nearby but an adequate community shop in the village 800 yards away. Bit pricey but convenient. Curry house in the village and fish and chips on a Friday. Definitely would return.

Newbies

We are newbies and this was our first stay with CC and the staff are ever so helpful! We would like to thank them! They didn't make us feel embarrassed or small. They made us confident. The site is fab, clean and spacious. We would come back again. It is definitely a friendly club! Thank you so much!

good for walking

Compact and neat site with Cromwell's cottage at the entrance and part of the moat within the site. Facilities good, well cared for and spotlessly clean. Lovely area for walking with paths accessible direct from site so great for dogs. No large shops nearby so stock up in Huntingdon - large Tesco - but the village community shop stocks all the basics as well as local produce (meat pies quiches cakes chutney cider) plus you are served by a friendly chatty volunteer. Also a nearby house sells trout from Graffham water and I would recommend 'Cinnamon' for an eat in or out Indian meal. Apparently there is also a 'Pop up Pub' in the village on some Fridays.

had a great time

the first thing you see, when you park in the space provided ids the beautiful Cromwell cottage. First impression was a well kept reception area with lots of flowers and very tidy. Booking in was very easy with polite staff who were very helfpul at all times and always seemed to be doing something. we loved this site and would consider going here again.Overall 10/10. if you require a shop I'd avoid going to the Co-)p at Brampton, its down a narrow road and we encountered 2 tractors and John Lewis wason en route ( passing was fun!!) For shopping id recommend Huntingdon, park in Sainsbury's ( remember to pay and display!!) if you are planning to shop in Sainsbury's take half ticket with you to get car parking fee refunded from your shopping bill!

Peaceful and compact

This is a delightful, peaceful and compact site in a beautiful rural area. A great place to walk or cycle ... if you feel energetic you can do a circuit of Grafham Water on the roads / tracks, which is about 10 miles, or you can go for a gentle stroll as far as the Visitor Centre (just over a mile). Perfect place for watching the local wildlife. The site is remote, about 3 miles to the nearest shop, and as another reviewer said there is no local pub within walking distance. All in all a great plzce and we WILL be back.

Whats not to like?

This was our second visit, and not likely to be our last (it’s one of the places we can get to by 8pm having finished work at 4pm!). It’s within reach of so many places yet is quiet, relaxing and tucked away. The welcome from the wardens is warm and the pitches well laid out. The added bonus is that it has a pool (summer only) although I would make a plea for it to be open for a week or two longer after the schools have gone back – whilst I’m ‘grey’, it’s only just and I’d still like to have a dip in mid-September. Visits by the resident owl were nightly and the ducks were on our doorstep most mornings. On the down side unless you like Grafham Water or are willing to drive, it really is tucked away! And the lack of a local pub may put some off, although we found the local Indian restaurant to be superb – and are likely to drive out there to eat even when we’re not staying at Grafham.

Five stars place

It was amazing holiday. All pitches are very cosy, the site is clean, the service is top. It is ideal for families with kids and dogs :) plenty spaces for cycling, a playground, swimming pool and a walking dog area.

Great site for kids.

We stayed for 3 nights midweek during the school summer holidays with our 10 year old granddaughter. This site has lots of children at this time of year, so you have to expect the noise and frolics that are associated with large amounts of children. However I do think that some parents need to be more responsible. We saw very young children, perhaps 2 or 3 years old running and cycling all over the site including in the roads. It is madness to expect car drivers to take all of the responsibility for a child's safety even if they are obeying the 5 mile an hour speed limit on site.  We did have a good break though and our granddaughter loved the pool.
