Graham water site

We visited this site 1-3 June ( 2 nights) This is a lovely site and very well cared for by the wardens ( only one couple on this site) who obviously work hard to keep everything spotlessly clean. It was the end of half term holiday week so there were plenty of children having great fun around the site. We enjoyed watching all the antics and games, but if you wanted peace and quiet this wasn't the time to come. There is a lovely dog walk on site which was thoroughly enjoyed by my dogs, who pee'd and poo'd on every log and leaf possible. The reason why I have gone into such personal detail is because the dog walk was also enjoyed by many of the children who used it as a den and sat on the logs and leaves etc! I find it hard to believe that parents ( who were aware) would allow their children to play in the dog walk. I don't think those same parents would like the dogs to use the grass play areas as their toilet. We are always being alerted by the media to the dangers of dog excrement, and although the dog walkers "picked up", it is very possible that little smears get left. The wee certainly stayed in place to be marked by other canine friends The site staff could not be around all the time to deter these games, but it may have helped to have signs telling children not to play in the walk, and to mention this to parents on booking the site. I'm not a spoilsport, but feel strongly about this matter. We had a lovely break here!
