I really enjoyed my stay at Hawes. I wasnt expecting the B roads into it from the M6, so parts where a bit hairy with the wagons coming the other way. it was a lovely site, well laid out, with plenty of space between pitches. I picked a lovely little corner spot near the dog walk, and all i could hear was bleating baby lambs, it was lovely. Staffr were helpful and very friendly. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean, with a band system operating to minimise the amount of folk in there. Showers closed on my visit, so cant comment on them. Site is within half mile of Hawes, which has some lovely shops to mooch in. Some where still closed, but there was plenty to see and lots of walkers and bikers around. The weather was brilliant, which just made my first trip out perfect.
