We first stayed here over 20 years ago when we had a caravan so now we have the camper we are trying to visit new places but also include a memory lane trip. When we arrived the office was closed and there was a notice to tell us to pitch but the wardens although off duty saw us arrive and opened the office to book us in! They were so welcoming and the keep the site perfect. Its a small site with no facilities but they were spotless. We walked into the town and back. The work for the flood defences in the town does cause hold ups but a necessary evil unfortunately and hopefully wont put people visiting this lovely site.
