Our favourite site

We first visited this site last year and enjoyed it so much returned twice more, we was so disappointed to have our much looked forward to trip booked for May this year cancelled due to the closures, but eventually managed to get a booking for mid September. As this was our first trip out this year was a little unsure what to expect on site, but needn’t have worried, the first worry was taken away as soon as we saw the familiar faces of the wardens from last year (Mick & Angie) check in was smooth and pleasant, Angie was able to answer all of our anxious questions about the Covid rules on site, despite my wife asking the same questions that I’m sure she must answer dozens of times every day. We didn’t have much interaction with the other couple, new this year I believe, but they seemed cheery and polite when they passed our way. The facilities as always here are spotless and the band system seemed to work very well, apart from the odd morning we didn’t really have to queue at all. Our neighbours wasn’t very nice, constantly complaining to anyone that would stop and listen to him about how he felt vindicated for having been asked to put his dog on a lead and keep his speed down on site, everyone knows the rules regarding these sort of things, when I mentioned it to Mick he said it’s a constant battle with people thinking the rules don’t mean them, but good for him for trying. We are still exploring much of the local area, we love to walk and are certainly spoilt for choice here, Angie was great at suggesting places to go, especially loved Arne and the quiet bay at Studland near to a pub with stunning views. Have already booked again for next year and very pleased to hear the same site team will be there to look after us again.
