We visited in mid-June and were welcomed on to a very well managed site. Our hardstanding pitch was very level and the toilet block had a good 'accessible' toilet and shower which was a boon for us. We had to pay the balance for our stay one month in advance, but this condition is mentioned when you book. The site had wonderful views but really only if you walked up to the top field with the grass pitches. The Lydford gorge entrance nearest site is easy to access from the site, but it was not open until a week after our stay. We did one nice walk in Dartmoor National park from the site. The local buses allowed us to explore Tavistock which besides being a very interesting place itself to visit was also a gateway for other rural walks. So plenty to do rain or shine!
