Beautiful Autumn Colours

We stayed here the weekend before the close for the season so it was quiet on site. It’s a beautiful site right on the riverbank and we enjoyed watching the ducks and the sheep on the other side. We stayed here to break our journey further north. We stayed for two nights but wished we had stayed for longer and will definitely return for longer next year. The wardens were very friendly and helpful and helped us enjoy our holiday even more. The shops of Killin are easily reached with cafes and pub/ hotels along the way. A largish Co op is there for provisions. We went to the pub opposite for food but wouldn’t recommend it. It was mediocre at best and so was the welcome! The site is superbly placed for touring the area. We called into Glen Ogle and walked along the viaduct on the way up to the site. The Autumn colours are stunning. You can also walk here from Killin but we left that for next time. If there was a negative there is no dog walk on the site but there are walks directly outside. Looking forward to returning.
