This our second visit and will not be our last, the pitch improvements are fabulous. We were on pitch 37 and preferred this to pitch 15. The wardens work extremely hard, the entire site and facilities are exceptional.Â
It's a 15 min stroll into Minehead, 20 min cycle into beautiful Dunster. (Recommend the Luttell Arms). Â Took a delightful trip on the Steam Train to Bishops Lydeard.Â
Hope you enjoy as much as we do.Â
Lack of Barrier Gates
Had a nice week at Minehead CC site from 7 to 14 Feb. All facilities were ok and very good wardens.
There was one drawback, which would not have happened if the site had barrier gates. At 11pm one evening, a motorhome pulled in right opposite my caravan, with head lights glaring and noise which lasted for about twenty minutes, after which they left.
Speaking to the warden next morning, he said his wife had luckily noticed them come in and it was apparent they were trying to get a free night on the site. They could not prove they were members, and fortunately the warden managed to get them to leave. Full marks to the warden for being so prompt. If all sites had barriers at the entrance, this would prevent similar incidents.
I am therefore only giving peace and quiet a mark of1 because of this, but would otherwise have marked it 5.

Minehead
Lovely wardens & friendly the site is being improved its such a shame that some MEMBERS will not or cannot reverse onto or drive off the pitches!! I saw such damage being caused to a pitch by a irresponsible so called MEMBER!!
Friendly Site
We stayed here for 2 nights in September 2014, the site is small and staff friendly. Very close to the town and amenities.
Great site and staff
Great site. Near town and beachfront. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good pitches.
Always Good
Spent a few nights here recently. First trip out this year to Minehead, having been here four times last year. Really convenient for walking to the beach or in the opposite direction to the hills, dogs love it.
Showers and amenities excellent as always.
A Lovely Site
I have just returned from a 5 day stay; a very quiet site even though I was next to the fire station and I was probably as close to the road as you can be. A 20 minute walk into the town and then to the beach was great for me and my dog. This was also my first trip in a motorhome after many years of caravans and everything worked perfectly; I did venture to Lynton and Lynmouth via Porlock which is an interesting journey. As CheshireCBR said you will probably need levelling blocks. The toilets and showers were superb. The caravan club wifi is slow by modern standards - I was limited to 1Mb download and 256 upload which made it painfully slow to upload my photos to the cloud until I reverted to my EE 3G (no 4G) which was much quicker. The wifi was fine to have multiple devices connected under the same ID so I was able to update my Apple devices at the same time (it appears that each devices gets a 1Mb download)

Minehead
Lovely welcome. I have a small problem in walking and found the slope to the shower block quite difficult. Should have pitched on the lower terrace but did not fancy being too near the fire station. We were on a first trip in a motorhome (had caravans for years) and were not being very brave. Advised not to go to Porlock and Lynton and Lynmouth and then the road through Dunster to Exmoor was closed so we felt a bit frustrated. We walked to the beach which was very pleasant.

A nice holiday
My daughter and I spent a week at this site in august 2014, the site was lovely and clean and the staff were really helpful, the site is not level and being new to caravanning I had not got any levelling blocks and they don't sell them in the little shop on site, but we made the best of it and after the first night they moved us to a more level pitch for the rest of the week, it is a bit of a walk to the beach and other attractions which for kids to do daily is a bit had, but over all the site is well kept and the toilets and shower block was always spotless.
Great New Year
Arrived New Years Eve and greeted by friendly staff. Only 2 pitches left, 31 and 18. Pitch 31 is a joke as it is right at the end of the culdesac in what looks like the turning point. You need to pitch side on, it is sloping and in my view should not be used as a pitch! Pitch 18 was fine. Despite the site being full the facilities were spotless as always. We have been here many times before and the location is ideal for lovely walks along the beach. The nearby fish and chip shop is excellent
