A site with great potential

A beautifully located site close to an 'A' road. The facilities are tired but clean and unless the Club are running it down for closure it desperately needs a revamp. Most pitches are too small to accommodate fixed bed single axle vans. No wi-fi (although the wardens appear to have a connection!!) and no phone signals (O2 or BT.) Unaccountably quiet! When we left on Sunday only five other vans remained!! The wardens are excellent but I fear are fighting a losing battle. Shame. We can't afford to lose this on top of Presthope!

Just around the corner from Dad's house !

This was our very first visit to a Caravan club site as I have family living about 7 miles away just north of Hereford. We travelled from Sunderland. The Site was lovely and flat, with both Grass and Gravel Pitches for caravans and Motorhomes with Good easy access for both. The Wardens were very welcoming, and helpful, and the Toilets and showers were spotless. The Showers were lovely and powerful and super hot !! There is no 3G/4G/WiFi on this site, but a short walk up to the top of the Lane achieved a signal to make a call. This is really a very quiet site, and I wouldn't recommend it for visitor as no facilities for children. (especially as no internet connection) but if your looking for Tranquil Piece and Quiet - this is the place to come.

Ideal 'Staging Post'

We have been calling here off and on for nearly 30 years (initially when there were no facilities!) - en route to the SW or South Wales. It is quiet and peacefully situated to the West of Hereford - enabling 'unwinding' at the start of a holiday. Choice of pitches and usually plenty of space - with a welcome from the Wardens that is always 'stimulating'!! We will visit again.

Sept 2016

We really enjoyed our stay on this site. There was a choice of grass or hard standing and the facilities were very good. One or two of the grass pitches were a little uneven, but with plenty of choice it wasn't a problem. As stated in the site details there is no wifi or mobile signal, yes, lovely and quiet. It was necessary for us to drive a few miles to get reception, but you are in the heart of some beautiful countryside.

A week in September.

We have just spent a week at this site and had a great time. The only downside for us was the fact that are just two showers available in both toilet blocks which means availability problems at busy times. We had a electrical problem with our caravan during our stay. The Warden (Joe) helped me isolate the problem to the battery charger. A quick visit to Maplins and the problem was cured. The site was very peaceful and we will visit again.

Peace at last

One of our first CC sites and what a tranquil location. A small country site, good walking, adequate bus service between Hereford and central Wales. No shops close nearby so come stocked. Site id very clean, friendly team. Pity no wifi, mobile and TV signals a bit weak. A definite return-to location for us.

Oh wow fantastic

We have just returned from our bank holiday break and loved this small site. Wardens were friendly and welcoming, the shower and toilet block were immaculate, the site itself was lovely. The area is beautiful we can recommend the walk through the cider orchards - thankyou Bulmers! It is only a short drive to Hereford and there is every supermarket you could possibly need. Weobly is more than worth a visit and if you visit the Herefordshire Tourist Information website you can click on a link to download walks for the area - most of which were through stubble fields and meant the dog could be off lead. No telephone signal, no internet signal very little tv reception. We will be back.

Tranquility

We stayed here over the bank holiday weekend as it wasn't to far to travel. What a beautifully peaceful layed back site. A lovely jovial welcome from the warden and his gorgeous doggies. All the same standards of the bigger sites but none of the mad rushing around with tractors emptying bins (as there's only one set)or cutting the grass constantly or hedge cutting around your pitch. Just pure peace and quiet :) Took the lovely walk recommended by the warden through the orchards with our dogs and took in some of the beautiful countryside, on the whole walk we only had 4 cars go past us! Will definitely be on the return list, this would be a real shame if this site was not on the circuit, such a real gem to unwind and do nothing more than relax.

Moorhampton club site

We stayed here for four days in August and picked the site for its location near to many places we have always wished to visit. It didn't disappoint and although there are limited local resources nearby, the peaceful well organised and we'll run site made up for it and in some ways was a blessing at the end of a day's visiting . For me this site provides the balance the club needs alongside the bigger busier sites and it's also a gem in the lovely county of Hereford.
