We were there last week, the relief wardens seemed very friendly but having recognised the new regular wardens, from Littlehampton a few years ago who were too busy quoting rules and regulations at people, we are not surprised to read some of the comments on here. Having done a bit of research we have discovered that Rowan, which has showers, toilets etc, is of a comparable price we will be using that in future, as we don’t feel we want to have rules and regulations quoted to us. After all we’re the paying customers, they are supposed to be giving us a service, not the other way round. A few years back we’d had friends who were out of their house as they were moving and coincidentally she had had heart problems. They asked to stay one more night as they were moving into their new house the next day but were refused. As the female warden said ‘rules are rules’.

We have been using this site for many years. The rules and facilities available together with prices are clearly advertised. There have been issues in the past with 'antisocial' behavior, which was swiftly and effectively dealt with by the wardens and head office intervention. For this reason I would personally rate the current wardens ideal for the site in their friendly but no-nonsense approach to the job
