Lovely site let down by a tricky approach road.

We have just returned from a few days at Ramslade as part of a six week tour of Devon and Cornwall. Was the last site on our itinerary and an area of the country we hadn't visited before. Site itself was lovely and we had some smashing days out at Brixham and Dartmouth (via Ferry). Pitches are of a good size, the facility block was spotless and the hounds enjoyed the amazing dog exercise area. The only downside (but a big one) was the road to the site (or the last mile and a half of it) which is not fit for purpose. It is a busy road and needs to be treated with extreme caution. For our piece of mind we left site just after 7am on our day of departure which is not our usual practice as we don't like to disturb other campers. If you visit Ramslade please follow the directions from the club and do not arrive early. We saw caravans arriving from 11am which is just not fair on the wardens who are placed in the invidious position of having to allow early arrivers on to site to keep the site entrance clear and by default rewarding bad behaviour. Well done to the lovely site staff for keeping calm under pressure!
