It is a clean and tidy site. The facilities are well laid out and easy to access. The showers and toilets are clean modern and warm, although my partner complained about the fact that the ladies is situated at the back of the block while the men's are at the front. We only stayed the one night, as it was a convenient stop over on our trip back from Scotland to London. Some people have mentioned the traffic noise from the nearby A66, but I didn't notice it. Our pitch wasn't completely level, but it wasn't bad enough for me to get the levelling ramps out. The Angel, in the village about a fifteen minute walk (longer on the way back because it is uphill) serves decent food and drink. I would come back and would recommend the site as a good stop over on the way north.
