The site is well situated as a stay over if travelling a long distance to the Lakes or Scotland. and the facilities are as you would expect of the C&MHC However the site is not suitable for Dog owners as it has no dog walk except for a small fenced off area at the top of the site, and there are no walks from the site! Nothing for Children, You have to travel everywhere by either Bus or Car unless you are a cyclist. the nearest shop is an M&S SIMPLY on the very busy Scotch Corner roundabout! the two nearest villages have no shops(would make a killing if they did) so you need to travel to Catterick or Richmond for supplies. Also the site is blighted by the niose from the very busy A66. Not a good Holiday site.
