Good for families

Part of our memories forever!

We have been visiting the site as a family for around 15 years and have stayed at the site for 2 weeks on at least 10 occasions. It is a very well kept site with lovely coastal views and when the weather's fine you can see the most breathtaking sunset over Wheal Coats from the cliffs opposite. It is within east reach of Perranporth for bodyboarding with the kids or the pubs and restaurants of St Agnes which is a little more up market and less busy. Over the years our children have met many others who holiday there year on year and haven't missed the facilities. There are a lot of older people on the park but most families who visit have always been sensible and respectful and there has been very little disharmony over the years. The beach at St Agnes is also worth a stroll and a big uphill hike on the way back will get the circulation going. There is a pub and a bar at the beach to enjoy a G&T whilst watching the surfers. We find it relaxing and beautiful. There is no playground for kids and no showers or wash area so your caravan facilities need to be good. Chapel porth and porthtowan beaches are within a 30 min and hours' walk and are well worth a visit. Newquay is 30 minutes by car. Our kids are in their late teens so we had one last family holiday this year as due to COVID they had no other choice! They enjoyed it much more than they thought they would. Next year we'll still visit as a couple and can't recommend it highly enough. If you want relaxation with plenty of life within reach, St Agnes Beacon is the place to go!
