Lovely site

Stayed here for 4 nights following easing of lockdown. Had a fully serviced pitch. The site is very pretty with lovely gardens. Lots of wildlife, 3 resident peacocks, 2 males and a female, moorhens and loads of ducks which like to visit for food. The site managers were very friendly and extremely helpful. Bus stop 10 minutes walk away for Bridgnorth. Stanmore Country park just across the road from the site. Had a very enjoyable stay and aim to come back to ride the Severn railway as this was fully booked during our stay.

Great to explore from.

This was our second visit to Stanmore Hall which is just outside Bridgenorth. Easy to get to, well equiped and the staff are superb. We booked one of the fully serviced pitches (112) and found our friends already set up next door. The facilities were available but not showers, the small shop was operating but full distencing was the order of the day. It mentions in the guide that there are 'resident peacocks'. Sadly only 2, the female was lsot some months ago. They do generate quite a racket when the feel like it. Be warned! The site is about 3 miles from the Severn Valley Railway which is well worth a visit. Bridgenorth is a small town with a great High Street and an excellent butchers. A great site, part of a group of affiliated sites. All are of excellent quality and you will be well looked after. Dont be tempted to stay at the CL a bit further up the road. Its a dump, literally.

Excellent Site

This is our third time at a Morris Leisure site and it did not let us down. The site is excellent and well maintained, the staff are very friendly and helpful I couldn't fault them one little bit even if i wanted to. We have 3 children and they enjoyed themselves, there where other children on site as well but it was not at all noisy (night time as well and all were well behaved for those that do not have children. Everyone was respectful of other pitches. If your not a fan of children (I appreciate some people aren't) there is also an adults only section which all the children I saw respected.

Peaceful and Charming

Just wanted to write and let you know what a lovely times we had staying with you for our 4 days break. Obviously the weather was excellent, which always helps. You have such a beautiful site, with the lake, ducks, peacocks and moorhens. Very soothing, quite and relaxing. The washing facilities were clean and tidy and the showers were brilliant, nice and hot with plenty of power, really felt that you'd had a shower. Plenty of room in between the pitches and water points close at hand. The staff were exceptional, nothing too much trouble and around for a chat if you wanted one. Lovely places to visit, market day Saturday at Bridgnorth, Iron Bridge, Blisit Hill Village and associated museums. Once again thanks for a lovely stay

Excellent site

We chose to stay in the Adults Only area of Stanmore Hall and found it peaceful and quite. The distance between the caravans was generous, there was plenty of room for the awning and our car. The staff were friendly and helpful and kept the site clean and tidy. The walk to the facilities block was lovely because it was accessed round the duck pond. The peacocks added to our enjoyment during our stay. If all the Morris sites are of a similar standard we will definately use them when we are in Shropshire.

Excellent campsite, good facilities

Stayed for a week from 12 August 20. Easy to find, excellent layout, good facilities. The staff were good and helpful. Needed to wear a mask in the shop and all shared facilities. We had a serviced pitch so did not actually use the shared facilities preferring to use our own so can't comment on them. But the site is well maintained and clean so I would guess that the facilities are too. We have no children but the play area looked good and seemed popular. Very few children actually racing round the site on bikes. We have stayed at Ludlow before, part of the same group, quality is the same. We are likely to return to either.

Great site with dedicated staff

Great site and location for Bridgnorth which is a lovely town. You can walk into Bridgnorth either on the road but beware some narrow footpath sections on a busy road or take the cross country route which we did. Takes around an hour but we’ll worth it for the fantastic views! The staff at this site deserve top marks - friendly and professional- working hard often unnoticed behind the scenes keeping people safe. Cleaning toilet blocks in the early hours is just one example of the work being done - thank you! We’ll definitely be back.

Motorhome try-out

The site is very well looked after, clean and pitches nicely spaced out. We booked a serviced pitch for three nights to try out (and as we are new to) our new motorhome. The site warden/shop team were very helpful when we inquired about cycling into Bridgnorth, to Ironbridge and surrounding countryside, very helpful indeed. If you fancy a one mile walk down Chapel Lane to the Danery pub, very worthwhile. Wye Valley bitter was lovely, oh yes and so was the food. If you are a little infirm, walking back up to the site may be a challenge for you. The site was very well marked out for Covid-19, Face masks are required in the shop and shared facilities. The toilets and showers were very clean and well lit. Very worthwhile visit.

A Benchmark

This site can be considered a benchmark for a campsite. It has everything (apart from a beach!) that you would expect. Pleasant and very helpful staff, a delightful location and excellent facilities. Even with the Covid Pandemic we felt safe as everyone there was abiding by the rules. We would definitely visit again as there is so much to do in the area, plenty to see and easy travelling to nice places to visit. Big thanks to Gary who made us feel as if we had known each other for years and considered us his friends.

Brilliant Site

Just returned from a few days at Stanmore Hall. This was our second stay here and on both occasions we have been helped by the warden when something went wrong. The first time we had a puncture when on a night out and were towed back to the site. Gary, the warden, took me to get a new tyre and helped to put it back on the car. This weekend our water pump wouldn’t work and again Gary came to the rescue and mended it for us. We cannot praise the staff enough on this site. They are extremely pleasant and helpful. The site and the facilities were very clean and well kept. We felt very safe here and had a brilliant weekend. We have booked again for New Year and are really looking forward to returning. Many thanks to all the wardens for your assistance and Sense of humour!!
