Excellent Centre
Not having visited Glasgow previously, Strathclyde was the obvious choice and it turned out to be an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding area. We were warned that getting into Glasgow by car would be horrendous, but it was very easy with a little forward planning.
The city centre is built on a grid system so if a mistake was made, then keep turning left and you return to your starting point. here is so much to see, from the various museums, cathedrals etc.
As a dog owner I found the official dog walk excellent, but on exploring Strathclyde park there were hundreds of accessible acres of dog-friendly areas. On my visit the theme park was closed which gave me even more freedom. The site is very well laid out and the amenities were excellent and spotlessly clean at all times, only thanks to the hard-working wardens.
