Weekend break

Really enjoyed our break here. Lovely roomy site, lots of grass areas meant you didn't feel enclosed. The ability to walk to the sea front was a real bonus with the route explained to you by the warden very helpful. The only down side as has been mentioned on other reviews is the signage to the site which could be much improved. Would recommend this site for a visit.

Rural tranquility

Enjoyed our stay at Sutton on Sea, the site is easy to find and the grounds are very well kept. If you're looking for peace and quiet with a slice of quaint seaside on the side then please give it a go. Suggestion for site would be a caravan club decal on the sign post off the A52. Thanks again .

Lovely site very well looked after

Lovely site, lots of open space. Immaculate facilities but as others say could do with an update, but having said that they are perfectly adequate. Took our bikes and enjoyed the easy ride along the prom , you can ride up to mablethorpe. Lovely beaches shame it wasn't warm enough to strip off and dive in! Good buses to Skegness and mablethorpe we didn't have a car with us so used the buses. Would visit site again but with the car next time. Lovely staff.

Lazy days.

This was a lovely site, well managed by good experienced wardens, very clean toilet area and veg prep area. Site maintenance good and wardens always available. We will definitely go back again.

Our stay 22nd- 24th June 2016

This is a great site for peace and quiet and access by foot to miles of sandy beach. The facilities are clean, if not a little dated, and the wardens clearly put in a lot of effort to the upkeep of the grounds. The wardens are also extremely friendly. However we found Sutton on Sea as a town very disappointing for our age group (50).

Another great visit

Stayed here for 2nd time for long weekend 16th-20th June. Helpful wardens who were on hand if needed. Fantastic for dog owners and there were plenty of them. Great access to beach only 2 mins drive in the car. Showers and toilets spotless but in need of updating. Its time to bin the plastic stools that are neither good to man nor beast. Enjoy!!!!

Not upto scratch

If you are in a caravan or small camper & have the ability to drive to various places then this site maybe ok? We on the other hand own a large motorhome & so we prefer to pitch up & walk to the local attractions. Sutton town centre is approximately 1 mile by road or 1 & 3/4 miles if you go via sandilands & use the prom. Either way, the town is very disappointing, there are very few shops, pubs or restaurants considering it is supposed to be a holiday resort. On the plus side, the few pubs that are there are all dog friendly & so is the majority of the beach which consists of miles of lovely soft sand & very safe sea. The site was not kept as clean as other CC sites & the usual lack of common sense from some of the staff was on display. We wish the club & other members who take the time to do reviews would give us all more information about the area so that we can make a more educated choice when booking our holidays.

An early break

Spent a long weekend there back in April, when the site was nowhere near full and very quiet. Although only a stones throw from the old-fashioned seaside resort of Sutton-on-Sea, to be admired for shunning much of the 'candy floss culture' of its noisier and far brasher neighbour, Mablethorpe, its position along a country lane gives it a very pleasant, rural feel. For the reasonably mobile, it is possible to walk to the seafront in about 15 minutes and there is a good promenade stretching all the way to Mablethorpe. A short drive away there are good coastal car parking and picnic areas among the dunes in this atmospheric stretch of the Lincolnshire coast. A very good low season break.
