A first time visit to Tewkesbury on our way from North Wales to Torquay

What a lovely place Tewkesbury is, wish we had stayed longer than three days.Great dining places, lovely boat trips, friendly people wanting tell you about the interesting places t o see, fabulous Cathedral. Good welcome, site is lovely. Our only issue was, it was market day (Saturday)when we were leaving the site at 11am and some idiot members were arriving at site, how can we stop this, especially when access to the site is narrow.

Lovely site

This site is located next to the Abbey and short walk into town. Plenty of nice walks by the rivers. It is a lovely site, however I think the amenity blocks, showers and toilets are in need of refurbishment and more of them.

Summer break

Wonderful flowers and very helpful wardens. Extremely tired sanitary facilities, definitely not up to usual standards but always clean. Not enough showers or toilets for the size of the site. People were always queueing in the mornings and not really a good idea to close for cleaning at 9.30a.m.  Considering the price paid per night we were a little disapointed especially as we had persuaded friends to join us.

Weekend break

Had a fabulous stay once again. Site spotless and wardens very friendly and helpful. Took granddaughter for 1st time and I've been told tobook longer next time! My only fault with the site was that the toilets could do with updating. Apparently my granddaughter had problems getting into the toilets because of an uneven floor and the door would stick. Apart from that 10/10. See you next year!!!

What a great site

Just of the M5 we stayed for one night to break our journey. Loved it so much we shall return for a longer stay. Reception was very good and the flower display was to die for. Well done to those that worked on it.

Excellent site

Very nice site next to the town very friendly wardens we stayed for 2 nights good value for money . Pitches are small but it's a very popular site so I suppose a lot of people want to use . I would revisit again

Favourite Site

Fantastic Site, always immaculately presented, very easy to get to, short walk to shops including one with an off licence just outside the entrance to the lane. Short walk to pubs/hotels where you can eat, including eating outside with the dog and Chip shops. All very convenient. Lovely walks with the dog including a very long one to the left along the river that half way spits you out at a church - which has public loos outside. Not surprising it attracts so many motorhomes due to convenient location beautiful area. Don't have children so thats harder to gauge although there is a big park with mowed fields just off the site with a large children play area looked like a skate boarding area etc in it as well. We were in a tent nice big pitches backed on to trees which again was handy to have half shade half sun in the evening - ideal with the dog. Always a warm welcome

Abbey Bells!

Just off the M5 and great location for walking into the lovely town of Tewkesbury with plenty of places to eat, museums etc. Views of the neighbouring Abbey. Park for children just outside the gate. However, wasn't very peaceful. The bells ring every quarter of an hour and Thursday night is bell ringing practice from 7.30-9.00pm - and it's loud!! The other 2 nights of our stay were disturbed by the rugby club which also borders the site. All pitches are grass, which makes the job of keeping the aging toilet blocks clean a difficulty. Some quite sloping and uneven pitches, so levelling blocks required.
