Love this site! initially put off by a review stating a “busy road” but after looking at the location I dismissed my worries. stayed for 4 nights over the recent Easter holiday, In my experience the road had occasional heavy farm vehicles which were occasionally noisy, for a matter of seconds, two or three times a day! This site is in a very rural setting, incredibly peaceful with perfect access to moors and open countryside and the village and its pubs alike. This site does however need more hard pitches and I feel the club should make that investment to improve as it’s prone to waterlogged grass pitches a large number of grass bookings were cancelled due to unsuitable pit conditions. NB there is NO mobile phone signal in many parts of the NY moors! And the Wi-Fi access on site is only via a hotspot by the office which you must buy via the clubs Wi-Fi facility, which in my experience is expensive and under invested in by the club. You can get free Wi-Fi access at the pubs in the village who are very accommodating or of course you can schlep up the 1 in 3 hill to get full mobile coverage:) Having addressed the negatives, I still wholeheartedly will give a definite 5* rating as it really is the perfect hidden gem.
