we stayed at the ranch for three nights in early August - weather and views were good till the morning we left, so it was good to experience the wind and the rain too. The site for tourers is open with great views and we didn't need to fetch water all the time. The facilities for youngsters in our grandson's view were FAB, A play area, a football pitch and the pool. The staff were very welcoming helpful and interested in their customers. There are a lot of static units, there are some tight pitches but plenty for a family to do. As others have reported there are very good beaches around, not much in Maybole, but try out the paly area on Ayr beach too....FAB
