Superb views

Well run site with superb views. We stayed at The Woods for a week at the end of May. The site facilities are excellent with plenty to do and see in the area.

Great stay with wonderful views

We stayed here in March on snowy conditions. Excellent pitch sizes , spotless toilet block and friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble. Great restaurant at entrance to site serving good food. Well situated for visiting the central belt attractions easily. First visit not it won’t be our last !

Great few days

Just returned after spending a quiet long weekend at The Woods. As usual staff were extremely helpfull, always happy to help out. The site is always well maintained and all the ammenities spotlessly clean. This site is only up the road for us but it feels like miles away and never get tired of looking out at the hills especially on a nice sunny day. Great time and will be back up soon for some peace and quiet.

Monkeys in the Woods

Been toThe Woods caravan site a few times by ourselves now and love the site and last weekend we held our first CAMC Fife & Tayside Centre Rally on the 15th-17th March 2019 We had a fantastic time & from the first contact to arrange the Rally with Frances in the Woods Office to arranging pitches for 17 Caravans arriving. We couldn't have asked for any better Rally Marshall & Caravan park staff relationship all ran smoothly with Frances & Jerry opening our rally with a great talk on the history of the park to our members from Jerry. We hope we can arrange another Rally at The Woods next year an have another great weekend in amazing surroundings. Definitely not a site to be missed.

Lovely & scenic

This was our first ever camp site in our new Motorhome & we weren't disappointed, We were late arriving on site due to an accident on the motorway but when we called to say, the warden said just to call when we finally arrived & he would let us in, we finally arrived 35 mins past the reception closing & sure enough we were met by a nice friendly man that gave us all the information we needed & let us in, Now that's great service, Once on the pitch we didn't really go anywhere as it had been a long day, we had a lovely quiet night probably the quietest i've ever had on any camp site, and the following morning was brilliant waking up the a great view of the surrounding mountains & countryside, The toilet blocks are immaculate & every staff member we met was only too happy to help, showing us where things were & as we are new to motorhoming helping with the waste water & chemicals, we have been avid campers for many years & this was a great upgrade, we will be back as we would like to try the restaurant at the entrance to the site as it look really nice from the outside, i would definitely recommend staying here but book in advance as i feel its gonna get busy in the summer.

Another great visit

Another great stay at the Woods. My wife and I stayed 4 nights with our dog in January. The reception was friendly and welcoming at the new Reception Block. We were given the pick of pitches, we wanted a pitch on the lower field facing the hills and found a nice one that suited us. The main toilet block was the only one open which was immaculate as before and I was glad to see that the dishwashing area was open, which was not last year at the same time. The site had expanded a bit with new pitches and new lodges. The only slight downside was The toilet block was closed for about 2 hours, with no alternative but to use the one in our Motorhome. Most sites we go to leave the disabled toilet till last, leaving it available for use. There area many nice dog walks available from the site. We walked the Devon Way, along the old railway to Dollar, where there were nice cafes and shops. This also passed the Sterling Mills Shopping Outlet at Tillicoultry. Also the wonderful Gartmorn Dam walk. We will look forward to returning to this site.

lovely facilities - best I have experienced

We stayed for a 2 night midweek break and had a disabled pitch as we are both disabled. The toilets, showers, washing facilities etc. were immaculate and very warm. The best we have used so far (although only been a member for a year). Unfortunately, the weather was very wet and the pub/restaurant did not allow dogs in so we were unable to use as we had our 2 with us. The site was nicely laid out and well maintained and there were lots of nice walks nearby. The dog exercising area was good but unfortunately quite a way from our pitch. We would go back again when visiting the area

fantastic 9 days

we chose this site as it was central to the places we wanted to visit, what a great choice, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, when asked for advice they went above and beyond to help. the view from our pitch of the hills was amazing. the site is very close to the Wallace monument, the Falkirk wheel, the kelpies, knock hill race track, loch Lomond and many other places, the facilities on site (toilet block) were very clean, and tidy, we were near block b which had the generator, and to be honest it was not a problem it was not that loud we were due to stay for 7 nights but we extended it for another 2 nights, as it was quiet and relaxing, and very friendly. we would recommend this site for a visit and we will certainly be going back again

Superb Weekend

Stayed at this site with fiancée and dog for 4 days last week, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay from start to finish. On arrival we were greeted warmly by friendly staff, in what appeared to be a newly renovated and modern reception. The staff were very happy to share abundant local knowledge with us, a huge help. Further to this, the reception was very well stocked with all the essentials we could need during our stay. The site itself is very peaceful, with the most incredible views of the hills. Sitting with a cuppa in the morning looking out over the view from our pitch made the trip worthwhile in itself. We ate at the on site restaurant twice during our visit. A definite high point! Great locally sourced, well priced and well sized meals, and a fantastic selection of beers, even a few local brewery ales to try. The facilities in site cannot be faulted. The toilet blocks were spotless, well decorated, and the addition of local radio in the blocks made for a few shower singalongs! I noticed as well that the facilities have won numerous awards, including the ever coveted loo of year, not just once but several times. I can’t reccommned this site enough, we came home refreshed after a peaceful trip, and with the hills right there it’s fair to say our dog needs a holiday from his holiday!

JUST GREAT

Been here before but really impressed with all the changes. Shiny new reception and really friendly welcome. The reception team could not have been nicer and clearly enjoy their job. Pitches are usual CMC hardstanding with plenty of space between. You can choose your own pitch and although busy there was still plenty of choice. We secured a cracker with fantastic views to the hills. Not sure what the last reviewer was on about. Yes, there is a generator at the bottom toilets but there is also a sign saying it's temporary. Apparently, they are have been upgrading cables to give 16amps to all pitches - good stuff. Wasn't that noisy anyway. No smells to report either, just fresh country air. Immaculate grounds with wardens seemingly always busy around the site. Toilets are exceptional - check the awards on the walls. Visited Falkirk Wheel, Kelpies and Helix Park - all close by and well worth the visit. Great for Stirling too - maybe next time. Restaurant really good. Great to be able to walk there and back and enjoy a wee glass or two, or three, or four.....
