We limed the various sections into which the site is divided, but the steepness from one end to the other was a bit off-putting. A good sense of space on the Seaview section and seemed to drain well as we had torrential rain. Did not use the facilities but the block looked a bit small for the number of pitches. Lack of mobile signal would not have been a problem if we had been able to access club wifi, but signal so weak it would not let me log on and obviously with no mobile could not contact the supplier!
A good dog walk as far as our dog was concerned, but only for the fittest of humans! A very steep hill.
While we had an enjoyable stay, doubt, as two not so fit pensioners, we will be returning.
Fantastic site - amazingly helpful staff
This was our first time here and we will be back. Its a lovely spacious site with lots of pitches, grass and hard standing. Huge play area for kids and also good for kids to cycle round.
The staff were really friendly and went above and beyond when we had a technical problem with our gas.
The site is fantastic - we will be back.
An unexpected gem
I was unsure what to expect when we arrived on 15th October due to the mixed reviews but I can honestly say this is a hidden gem of a site.
The layout of the site is excellent, the facilities kept immaculately clean, the site staff were all friendly and happy and the band system was working well with everyone playing nicely.
The coastpath walks to Perranporth and Newquay from site were lovely (although we caught a taxi back from Newquay) and we can highly recommend the Fishhouse in Fistral Bay as a place to eat.
Take a chance on this site.
Beautiful tranquil and very clean site
Just stayed here for two weeks, weather was challenging but the site itself was superb. No noise whatsover from the surrounding area, it's in a great position and has the best (and biggest) dog walk of any camp site I've ever been to. The wardens have done a superb job of keeping all the facilities spotless whilst also being as friendly, cheerful and helpful as you could wish for. Highly recommend it!

Beautiful site and warm welcome
Arrived with motorhome on site early last week to a warm and friendly welcome from the gentleman behind the Covid-safe screen. Site is beautifully kept with pristine facilities. Shower pressure is amazing. Sea view is from top of site. Dog walk is long, mysterious and well kept (need to keep dog on lead as path twists and turns) and is expansive.
Good choice of hard-standings with some cosy secluded enclaves from which to choose. Fabulous and will return!
Great work Wardens, thank you.
Motorhomers Think Twice
If you are fit and healthy or you have a car then this site will appeal to you. If not, forget it. A walk to the bus stop of 1000 metres (which doesn’t include a ten minute walk from the bottom of the site to the entrance) doesn’t seem too far but when it is along very steep lanes with no footpath and frequent traffic, then it is very unpleasant. Also the warden advised against getting the bus in the other direction to Truro as the walk was too dangerous!!! We were in the bottom field and it is quite a way uphill to the toilets and reception. We are not young and my wife found it very difficult on this site. We believe that the steepness of this site should be mentioned in the description. Needless to say we shall not be returning and would advise others to think carefully.
P.S. what sea views and local pub???

Not for us.
Stayed on an extremely small uneven pitch next to the main through road, very noisy. 150 odd pitches and only 3 male toilets, just not enough. Wasn’t going to queue so used are own facilities. Bus service is almost a mile away down narrow roads, to dangerous to walk. Beach at least an hours walk away. Obviously not the site we thought it was. Wardens ok but love to race around with the golf buggy. It’s five miles per hour wardens.
Perfect
arrived at the site and was impressed with the first impressions. Long driveway down to reception with plenty of flowers and greenery. The staff were very friendly. we chose our pitch which was perfect, although I do feel we were fortunate to get that certain pitch. It was hard standing tucked away.
There were plenty of dog walks which suited us as we had dogs.
The facilities ie toilet block was very clean and the COVID System they had in place seemed to work very well with everyone following the rules.
I would certainly recommend this site and we will definitely be going back next year .
It is so well placed to visit other places
Cornish countryside location, not too far from the sea.
Our first visit to Treamble Valley, on arrival we were allocated a grass pitch for our VW Camper & awning. Many of the pitches are sloping so remember your wedges! Staff were friendly & helpful when needed, the facilities clean & tidy. Perranporth is 3miles away & there is a walking route some of which is on narrow very quiet / hilly roads. There’s not much in the immediate locality so you do need to drive off site. A really good dog walk & although we don’t travel with children they all looked happy enough. Although as warned don’t expect a phone signal & the WiFi is very poor. Overall an enjoyable stay.
First visit
Our first visit to this lovely site. Good reception in difficult circumstances due to Covid. Well laid out site with big pitches. We managed to choose one of the wettest pitches and were warned that it would be wet if it rained. It did and was! A long way to the loo block but not a problem if you left early! Very good arrangements re Covid and most people kept to social distancing. Brilliant dog walk, the best we’ve come across. Busy due to school holidays, but still reasonably quiet. Long walk to beaches, but easy walk to local pub ! We would definitely recommend
