WOW!!

We arrived in 50mph gales and heavy rain but left in full sunshine and temperatures approaching 20 degrees - not bad for the end of September!  We originally booked in for 6 nights but ended up extending our stay to 18.  We just could not bring ourselves to leave - we had planned a tour of Cornwall!   Not only did we experience fantastic weather, we also enjoyed so many coastal walks - Padstow and Rock being our favourites.  The coastal path to Tintagel and Boscastle were also hard going but spectacular and well worth the effort.   The wardens were all so special!  Nothing was too much trouble - they went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay - always with a smile on their faces.   The CC should base their training manual on how to run a site using these 4 wardens as the template - yes, they were that good ('Cos the others aren't bad either!).  Facilities were spotless, shop well stocked and the site kept in prime condition, even when the weather is not so good.

Walkers Paradise

Drove up from Newton Abbott after a stay there and really fancied a quiet nice area. The route in is a little tricky unless a competent driver, ensure you read the route in on the web site. Once you arrive and drive down the to the main entrance you begin to soak up the atmosphere straight away. STUNNING view - This is one of the nicest places I have stayed and managing to get a main view park had a fabulous stay. Staff and all very helpful and the toilet and shower block fantastic :) Had a great stay and shame I had to go

Perfect - not quite!??

Lovely site and views are stunning.  Site shop had basic provisions and well stocked.  Bus stop about 15mins walk. Coastal path beautiful but you need to be quite fit, very up and down.  Arrived at 1.30 and all the best, hard standing pitches had gone.  We were sent in the top, sloping field with portaloo/shower facilities (which were nice and clean) but not what we had expected.  Dishwashing and laundry was a trek, especially in the wind and rain. The warden said people turn up well before 12.00 and claim their pitches, so seems abit pointless stating don't arrive before 12.00. Thought there should have been a discount for the basic facilities we had and was very disappointed.

Fabulous Site

Just returned from a 5 night stay here and it was lovely, the best view we have had on a caravan site. We were lucky to get a front line pitch over looking the sea, but I think that the views from most pitches are good. The wardens very friendly and helpful, all in all definitely one we hope to return to in the not too distant future.

Seascape!

A spectacular location with stunning views. We had a choice of frontline hard pitches even arriving at 12 noon. Good facilities and very pleasant wardens - wifi OK and good mobile reception which was a boon as our home was burgled on our last day! Cliff walk was challenging for us oldies but dog field was good. All in all a great site and location.

Scenic site

We've visited this site a few times now. I always arrive after the 12pm arrival time, so was annoyed that just after this time there was one hardstanding remaining! Next day people were getting in at 1120, thus getting prime spots available! Clean well maintained site, nice wardens, good little shop, but why are we still having to pay for wi fi in this day and age? Lovely views and walks from the site, although a couple of gripes a nice site

Not Bad

but not perfect, Yes the views are good, the cliff walks are challenging on dry days however shouldn't be attempted if the ground is damp. CC WIFI poor. Looked forward to having Fish & Chips on site but gave up after waiting 1hr in the cue.. apart from that nice site in an isolated area..

Great Two Week Stay!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful site, a fantastic team of wardens who work very hard and always had time for a cheery chat - thank you so much.  Our two grandsons, who stayed with us for the first 4 nights, loved the site too, they enjoyed the play park as well as the treasure hunt set by the wardens.  The views are breathtaking to wake up to every morning, even in bad weather, and the sunsets are beautiful.  Our favourite beach is Trebarwith Strand and we enjoyed good food at The Port William which overlooks the beach there many a time - recommend a visit! The fish & chip van which visited the site Thursday & Sunday evening was also excellent.  We love this site and the area and will definitely be returning.

Returning Again

We have just returned from this lovely site having spent 10 days on our favourite pitch number 48, enjoying weather that was gorgeous to weather that was atrocious ( 55 mph winds ). As we have been to this site a number of times we knew to put our vehicle between the cliff face and the caravan to deflect the wind and sudden squalls. Even in very bad weather the views can be a thing of beauty watching the waves pounding the cliffs. We know not to bring awnings or sun cannopys here, we don't even leave a umbrella errected, it is a small price to pay for scenery as spectacular as this.  The wardens were hardworking and friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable.
