Wagtail what a shame

Two night stop on our way to Suffolk, just off the A1 with some road noise. Narrow approach road but with passing places with care. Allocated a pitch on arrival with £10.00 deposit on barrier card. Great site if you are a fisherman, so ignore the good reviews if you are not! Half the site is lodges around the fishing lake, the rest looked like seasonal pitches. The site access roads and pitches were constructed of a very sharp gravel and glass which will chew your flip flops into shreds after a couple of days. Poor dog refused to walk on the roads after a day. Lots of insects and wasps as the bins were not emptied during our two day stay. The farm at the end of the site road also had two rubbish burning fires during our visit and we are still trying to get rid of the smell from our van. Limited toilets blocks in need of a deep clean and not just a loo roll top up. The site was very disappointing and not worthy as an affiliated site. We tried to leave at 0830 but had to wait for the staff to let us out at 0900 or lose the barrier deposit. What a shame as we will not visit again even for an overnight stop,

Must have been a different Wagtail to where we stayed? toilets & showers were fine and my two border collies had no issue with the chippings. To say ignore any comments from anyone who fished there is a bit rude as well, but you can't make all the people happy all the time.
