One of our favourites!

We stayed here as a young family. Great access to local facilities. Very handy for a winter break away. We will definitely stay again

Fabulous site

This site is local to us but a great getaway when we don’t have time to travel further. When you are on the site you would think you are in the middle of nowhere when realistically you’re in an industrial area. Handy having Asda so close, great dog walks along the river. Facilities and grounds are always totally spotless every time we have visited.

Excellent

The site is in an unlikely place near the centre of Stockton but feels far more like the country. It is laid out in a very similar fashion to many other club sites as in the photos with some hard standings looking wider than normal. Easy to find just off the A66 and no problem with the roads. As with all club sites it is immaculate with excellent services and helpful staff plus a play area for children. There are ASDA and Morrisons stores close by and a large shopping centre covering all your needs. A good central position for touring. Very good site but there is some road noise although not enough to affect us.

Book with Confidence!

Lovely site, you would never know you are a stones throw from what has been/is an industrial area. We spent the last three nights here. Five mins walk from an Asda superstore, plenty of walks nearby and also a Beefeater. Facilities are spotless and well cared for. Staff are lovely. Special mention to Stanley, the head canine warden. Having been campsite warden’s ourselves, we recognise how much work goes in to keeping things tickety boo, the staff here are a credit to the club. Hopefully we will return at some time in the future. Meanwhile, book with confidence. Lovely and quiet overnight.

Vulnerability in disability facilities

When using the disability facilities and locking the door on the inside another person could still enter with their radar key. The manager had told Steve one of the wardens that this was right and lock wasn’t faulty. I have been informed from membership services this isn’t the case and the lock was faulty. The manager has never apologised for the incident being allowed to happen

Yet another trip here

We spent a long weekend here…yet again. Although the site is just off the A66/A19, there is very little road noise. We chose a serviced pitch, which has loads of space and privacy hedges. We were there as the majority were leaving after the half term break…so very quiet Sunday/Monday. As always, the site was immaculate..the flower displays are amazing and the garden at the back of the facility block is lit with colourful lights and ornaments to delight the youngsters in your party! As we now have our caravan stored here, we stayed an extra night…caravan away and off to work by 9:30!! As always, we ate in the nearby Beefeater… highly recommend their steaks and Sunday lunch! A gem of a site…on our doorstep but could be anywhere. A nice walk along the river….you might even glimpse a seal or two. A short walk to Asda should you forget any essentials. Personally, we avoid Teesside Park as everyone seems to head there with full families in tow 😉

Fantastic site with super helpful wardens and lovely walks directly from site

I stayed on this site the last weekend in July (sorry for late review) and absolutely loved it! I'm a wheelchair user with assistance dog, and like most club sites, I found the facilities accessible and spotlessly clean. The grounds were well kept and easy to get around. I particularly liked being able to go for walks with my dog directly from the site. The Tees Barrage park is fascinating and there are seals in the River Tees, just by the barrage. We sat watching them one evening for ages. I liked the Infinity Bridge circular walk as the paths are nice and wide and well surfaced. I would like to say a huge thank you to the warden who regularly checked whether I needed anything, and who helped me with my long electric cable on pack-up day, in the pouring rain. His help with this meant I didn't get completely soaked just before driving home. All the wardens were incredibly friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and so well kept. I was pleasantly surprised at how peaceful the site is, and the whole area. Being so close to built up areas, I didn't expect it to be so relaxing. I will definitely be back again, probably with the rest of the family.

Well worth a visit

Several days into our tour of the North East of England, and after visits to Lindisfarne Castle and Priory, Seahouses and Warkworth Castle (staying at independent sites) we arrived at the White Water Park Club Campsite at Stockton-on-Tees. Once again we were checked in with by a friendly warden, and set up on our fully serviced pitch. This is a really interesting site, located at the Tees Barrage, adjacent to the Teeside white water course. Our visit coincided with a football match that I attended, and there are choices of buses into Middlesbrough either near the Asda, or across the Tees Barrage bridge, both stops only 10 minutes walk from site. This is a really funky site, in that the location may be misleading, but is many faceted. For example, the Portrack Marsh nature reserve is right in front of you, and is accessed via a 5 minute walk. There is a pub/restaurant at the entrance to the site, and Stockton-on-Tees is a pleasant 20 minute river walk away, so you can make what you want of your visit.

Outstanding Club Site . Must run for Site of the year 2022

Some members might be a bit hesitant to visit White Water Park as its in a fairly built up area next to the River Tees . I have to say once you drive through the barrier you will be in the most wonderful well planned and well designed park. On check in the Warden lady ( short hair ) was happy to change me to a standard pitch and we drove round the site and ended up near the area backing on to the storage. A bit further along is a play area for the kids... just enough to provide the meeting area for little friends. This was a very peaceful place to stay and the most impressive part of all was the immaculate gardens and pitch management grounds in general and flower displays . This has to be the most impressive C& MHC site weve stayed at this year . Full credit to the wardens for the condition of the grounds . You can almost smell the pride in the flower beds and tubs display and my advice to all members is Give this site a visit . Local area is interesting with river walk into Stockton or a wonder through the open wild habitation park or see the Water Park white water sports at the Tees Barrage. You have a handy ASDA within 10 minutes walk and a local pub restaurant. Well done to the wardens here . 100% They have my vote in the " Wardens of the Year" "gardens of the Year" "Site of the year" and any other awards going. We will be back down again from Sunderland soon..
