We stayed here for 10 nights Sept 2019 and cannot recommend it highly enough. We booked a Lakeside pitch and our awning was about 3m from the Lake. The views are stunning and the welcome warm. The amenities block has to be seen to be believed. It is not just clean, it is immaculate, always. Large shower cubicles, toilets with sanitiser (not that its needed), children's showers with elephant shower heads, 3 heights of children's wash basins, free dishwasher, dog shower, boot washing sink, fish washing sink, the list goes on. Although not reported on this website, there is free wifi to use on your phone. The site is in easy walk of transport for motorhome users, Brienz railway station and boat terminal is just over 1km away and old town Brienz is well worth exploring. The restaurant onsite produces good food at a good price, for Switzerland, and the shop stocks essentials, with supermarkets nearby in Brienz. There are bikes and canoes for hire. Switzerland is expensive, but half price rail cards saved us a fortune and we travelled with the caravan freezer packed with frozen meat. We travelled to the highest train station in Europe at Jungfraujoch, the steepest cog railway in the World on Mt Pilatus (with fresh snow at the top), the steam train up Brienz Rothorn for 360 degree views, over to the Rhone glacier, cruises on Lakes Brienz and Thun, the Geissbach falls and more, all within easy driving distance.
