Good Stop-Over Site

We were pleasantly surprised by this site. Very close to the Calais-Reims Motorway and directions in the book spot-on. Friendly reception staff and 3 cute cats! Facilities modern, clean and well-kept although you need to take your own toilet paper (why??). Water points a bit primitive but otherwise site pitches well-spaced and broadly level. Recommended as either a short-stay or transit site.

Convenient site for short to medium stays

A very pleasant site not far from the motorway . There is a small supermarket with a garage nearby. The site had a lovely pool which can be covered and a bar/restaurant. Staff are helpful. There are river walks although not a great deal to see in the immediate area. I would rate this as an excellent for a night halt  or for a short stay and good for longer stays if the weather is nice. Although not far from the railway it's a reasonably quiet site except on an evening when flocks of noisy birds return to their nests. Very entertaining though!

Owners very friendly, stay here often as stop over to south and have stayed for 2 weeks. Lovely river at side of site, good for walking the dogs good for fishing. Clean tidy site, great pizzas, always enjoy my stay here, and now its open all year?? Bar in town very friendly and good food. My sat navy takes me straight to the site and it is well signed on approach. Great family run site.

Stopover

Used this site as a 2 day stopover on our return from Switzerland, it's not a bad site but has it's faults, only one toilet cubicle in the mens plus one child, one disabled, clearly not enough for this size site. We were unfortunately next to a scruffy old van being used by what I assumed to be three male contractors, who in fairness were fairly quiet but did have their Tv/radio on until 3 in the morning. May consider using a different sit next year if we travel that way.

Summer Holiday 2015

We stayed here for three nights when we were making way back home on our summer holiday. We travel as a middle aged couple who, due to work commitments, travel during school holidays. The site was easy to find and has nearby access to and from the motorway. It is clearly a stopover site and there was a lot of coming and going each day. That being said it the set up copes well with it. The site was fine if unremarkable, our pitch was nice and flat but not over large. We visited Reims and a nice place called Hautvillers both of which were worth the visit. Worth a couple of days as a stopover.

Good stop-over for ferry ports

Stayed here as a stop-over on return to Calais. Very close to the Autoroute (no road noise). Slightly awkward access which is ok as long as you follow the directions in the club book and not Sat Nav. Smallish pool but fine for cooling off. Champagne tasting on campsite when we visited. The only chemical disposal point was a motorhome point in the floor. Very friendly staff and family run site. Very good English spoken. Would definitely use this site again as a stop off to or from Calais.

Nice little sight

Used the sight to and from Spain. The sight is only a few minutes from the motorway. The site was clean and tidy, the only thing is be prepared when using the toilets. No paper provided, take your own! Also if needing fuel there is a Carrefour in the village. There is a small undercover swimming pool also a restaurant which will do take a way food. Would use this sight again. The sight is about Three hour drive from Calais or Dunkirk.

Good stopover

Great site for a stopover. Lots of large flat pitches, clean facilities, good pool, walking distance to village bars and restaurants. Easily accessible from motorway network and about 3 hours drive from Calais. Would use it again.

Big pitches!

This was one of the largest pitches we have had! Lovely quiet site, nice welcome from owners and good walks along the river for the dog. Short walk into small town with supermarket, bakers, cash point. Great pizzas from site bar. Lots of British campers en route to south/home. Facilities all modern and clean. Well worth a bisit

Fantastic First Stop In France

After the stress of crossing the channel during the first round of the Calais dispute, with Opstack in full flow (or not!!), it was great to arrive to warm smiling French staff at the site, who put us ease immediately. We stayed here was 3 nights, but wished it was longer We had a free choice of pitch, from a number available and settled in quickly.  The amenity block was more than adequate, but there was no specific chemical emptying point.  We were directed to muddle away with using the point where camper vans owners empted and filled their tanks.  This was the only negative point about the site itself. A good swimming pool, partly covered and walks by the river, which runs adjacent to the site (but is fenced off for the most part) Guignicourt is a pretty French country town, with fuel (much cheaper than on motorway), supermarket and the usual French bread shop. The site is just off the Motorway and only 16 km from Reims.  The site manager suggested we try the tramway park and ride into Reims which is much more frequent than the train, but also much cheaper. Reims is very much worth a visit.  So much so we are actively planning to come to this site next year again We were just two adults, possibly the site would not suit families, for longer that a stop over.  But that said it was good for us.
