Nothing like a UK caravan club site. CC sites all very similar and this is a different experience. If you expect to see a CC site in a French location you will be disappointed. However, of you want to camp in a 400+ year old forest with nearby lakes and easy access to Paris via train then you will love the place. The showers and toilets are in wooden buildings which blend into the site with style. Modern, clean and spacious. No charcoal bbqs except at special designated point which we didn't use. Site lovely and quiet except on Saturday night where said bbq point was a party point and reception area had live band - quite loud but free to visit and over and done with by about 11pm - a feature we thought rather than a fault. We used our cadac gas bbq and enjoyed our stay. Excellent site if you like a walk and want to visit Paris. Walk through the woods past the lake and into Ranboulillet station, buy a return ticket to Paris and enjoy the day in the most romantic city in the world! Yes - a bit "eco warrior" but not a fault - more of a feature. PS it is a bit tricky to find - not impossible but sat nav will not find site easily. Find the town and follow the signs from the main road, no big deal.
