We were pitched on the large area in front of the chateau building. The pitches are around the edge so the large open area in the middle gives a feeling of lots of space. The welcome and provided information was excellent. The facilities are clean and modern and plentiful. The onsite bar and restaurant and take away are reasonably priced and provide a decent range on the menu. Bread and croissants were available to buy without order each morning. The staff were polite and engaging. The lake and the grounds and woodland provided some nice area to explore and walk / cycle. The pool and surrounding lawned area was nicely kept and safe There are Loire villages driving routes a bit further afield; other than the city of Le Mans and its interesting old town and medieval feel you are a distance from other places for visits of interest so that might be a down side. It was a nice three night stopover on the way further South and on the basis of the experience of those 3 nights I will certainly book again and for longer. Relaxing, friendly and modern. There are a number of supermarkets and petrol stations between Le Mans and the site and Le Mans was easy to access by car and with plentiful parking.
