Fantastic Fornella

Having spent the whole of June 2016 there the only let down was the weather which was wet at some point every day for first 10 day as it was all over Europe. At that time of the year the site is quiet and the excellent facilities are under used. The location on the lake side is ideal for water sports and you are only 10 minutes from Salo a main hub for the ferries. Pay the extra for a super pitch which are new, spacious and well serviced as opposed to some of the older pitches which are smaller and closed together. A great site with very helpful staff in a beautiful part of the world with lots to do so give yourself plenty of time.

Fabulous

This is a fantastic site with lovely facilities. Our only complaint would be that the signage to direct you to the site was too small.  We made three attempts to access.  Would definitely recommend this site if you can find it from the directions given. Please make signs more pronounced.

Excellent

Had a great stay at this camp, staff were very helpful, pitches where big , we have a large twin axle camper had no problem with getting on or off pitches, facilities where excellent , great walks, easy to get around, shop on site well stocked, prices where good, returned a two weeks later for another two weeks , would highly recommend this site .

Wonderful location

This is a large site but the fully serviced pitches are in area that is relatively quiet. There is however little mature shade in this area although the rest of the site is quite shady.

A little disapponting

We stayed for 8 days in May 15. The site was quite full as it was a German holiday period. Site was OK but the pitch allocated to us was difficult to access and along the main exit road. We have a twin axle and usually use ACSI for this time of the year, but I was aware it was German Holiday time so chose to book this through the CC. Due to our size we had to book a SP pitch. The pitch was large enough but access was difficult. All other SP pitches available for the duration were similar or worse. I had to access the pitch with a "U" turn in order to keep the door facing towards the road, this meant I was unable to position the caravan towards the rear of the pitch as we use the car and not a mover. Our awning door was 12" off the main exit road! In order to exit the site I had to go the wrong way down the exit road and do a reverse turn near the toilet block. Lucky I can reverse the unit. Toilet blocks are good as is the pool, bar was not well attended in the evenings and closed early. Area around the site is not really suitable for cycling, we tried but it was very hard work. Had to drive to shops, village etc, we prefer to walk or cycle.

Busy but brilliant.

This is a large but very well run site. Staff are very helpful. On site shop is very well stocked. Sanitary block VG and spotless. First class facilities on site. We booked a fully serviced pitch and were given a large grassy part shaded pitch, excellent. The area is beautiful but transport is essential, even if only to Salo to access the lake ferries etc.
