A lovely site

We spent 6 nights here, in September, as the final leg of a three week stay in France. Despite the lateness of the season the site was busy and popular. However it was still quiet. All the facilities were clean, although we would encourage fellow campers to clean the showers after they have used them. Bread and croissants are available from the mini market next door and there is a restaurant, although we didn't use it. Also there is a visiting modules and frites van which seemed very popular. The pool area was clean and the pool warm. It did shut on 15th September. All pitches are serviced and well kept and bordered by hedges. They all seemed to be of a good size. There is quite a steep path down to the path which runs along the River Rance and I wouldn't fancy trying to get a bike up and down it, but there is road access to the river both through Taden and also towards Dinan.  It is a lovely walk (or cycle) along the well-maintained path in either direction. It takes about 25-30 mins to get to the pretty town of Dinan. Well worth a lazy lunch time lunch. In the other direction the path takes you through a nature reserve and towards St. Samson sur Rance. The site gives excellent road access to Dinard, St. Malo and across the border to Mont St Michel. We didn't get time to explore in the other direction. We felt this was an excellent site, in a good location and would use it again in the future.

Good all round site and location

A beautiful site in wooded countryside, close to the river Rance and a half-hour walk into the lovely town of Dinan with its port-side restaurants and bars, arty gift shops and the town ramparts. It is very convenient for the St Malo ferry and the staff were helpful in arranging for the necessary visit of our dog to the vet for our return to the UK. The river is considerably below the site and difficult to reach for the disabled. The coastal road between Dinard and St Brieuc is worth exploring with its lovely seaside resorts and sea views. The swimming pool facilities at the site were excellent.

Lovely site July 2016

Spent three nights here on the way to south Brittany. Lovely site, nice pitches enclosed by low hedges, electric hook up, water and drainage on site. Didn’t use the pool but it looked nice, staff very friendly and helpful and good, fresh fruit and salads at the on-site shop. Didn’t use the bar or the restaurant. 20 minute walk along the river into Dinan. Lovely! Would go again.

Stopped here 4 night early July and well worth the visit. Nice size pitches well looked after and very good facilities. There is a nice walk along the river into Dinan well worth the visit, although there are some steep steps to negotiate from the site

Le Hallerais

Having been to this site in the early 1990's we were looking forward to visiting it again. We were not disappointed.... Good pitches, not as large as some other sites but with water supply /drainage and 10 amp. electricity- all of which worked perfectly. Care required to access some of the pitches but nothing a competent caravan driver could not cope with. A good outdoor swimming pool, an excellent bar and restaurant serving a good selection of drinks, the food was excellent. A speciola mention must be made of all of the staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and relaxed. Close to Dinan town and Port, also a lot of other attractions within easy driving distance. Would highly recommend and we will be returning, not leaving it so long the next time

Lovely Location June visit 2016

Lovely site with helpful staff.  Toilet blocks ok, some more modern than others.  Pitches can be awkward to negotiate as a narrow single track road access with slope. Location great next to the river ( steep climb to site) 20 mins walk from Dinan. Restaurant attached ok, average prices and food. Would stay again especially as so close to port.

Good cycling base

This was the last site we stayed on over an 8 base tour and it was the best. Excellent facilities, food in the bar was good and great to have free wifi and toilet paper! The only slightly negative thing was that the pitches were quite small but perfectly satisfactory. There are great cycling paths along the Rance and over to Mont St Michel. It was great to be able to walk into Dinan which is a lovely town. I read the comment that there was nowhere to get food on a Sunday afternoon but there were plenty of cafes open in Dinan when we were there and we didn't need to move our campervan off site for the whole week.

Excellent Site

The site met all expectations. We were there for two weeks and it was perfectly located. Easy to explore Brittany or just to relax at Port Dinan. Intermarch only 5 mins away. The site facilities were better than any UK Caravan Site.I would also use it in the future for the night before the ferry from St Malo. The Caravan Club Touring France Book needs updating. It says site electrics are RevPol. No. It is an international connection, same as UK.

Overnight stay

Site was great for the two overnight stays we were there for, unfortunately on both occasions the shop and restaurant were closed which meant a walk down a steep hill which was challenging on our knees. Pitches are fairly regimented but are private due to hedges. Overall good for overnight but would not want to stay longer than 2 nights.

GOOD SITE, NEEDS LOCAL INFRASTRUCTURE

A VERY GOOD SITE FOR VISITING DINAN. QUIET SITE, WITH CLEAN FACILITIES WHICH WERE WELL MAINTAINED. ELECTRICS AND WATER FOR EACH PITCH VERY GOOD. WE STAYED IN OUR MOTORCARAVAN, WHICH DOES NOT MOVE FROM THE SITE ONCE PITCHED, TRAVEL AROUND IS BY BIKE OR WALKING. ARRIVED SUNDAY AFTERNOON AFTER THE SHOP HAD SHUT AT 12.00 AND WERE TOLD THAT THE RESTAURANT AND SHOP WERE SHUT UNTIL TUESDAY FOR 'REFURBISHMENT', THEY ARE NORMALLY SHUT ON MONDAY ANYWAY. THE LOCAL VILLAGE OF TADEN DOES NOT HAVE A BREAD SHOP, SO IF YOU ARE ARRIVING ON A SUNDAY MAKE SURE YOU CAN LAST UNTIL TUESDAY MORNING. NEAREST ALTERNATIVE SUPPLIES ARE 3K VEHICLE RIDE TO LOCAL SUPERMARKET.
