Nice site
This is a nice site, across the road is part of the historic Utah Beach, museums and places of interest are easily accessed by bike - the roads were quite quiet in early July. It may be wise to buy a detailed map as you can lose your way quiet easily in some of the back lanes.
We had a huge pitch - you could probably have got 3 motorhomes on our pitch - a French family managed 2 caravans, 2 awnings, a large tent and a car on their smaller pitch!
The facilities are to a high standard, kept clean and not crowded. The bar was good, shop better than average, pool very nice but a bit cramped - the beach is only across the road, but at low tide expect a long long walk to paddle.
This is a really nice location, St Maire Egise is 7 miles away on a flat road, a really good museum as is the Utah Beach one - if you want history this a great location.
It's a quiet site and a good location if you're travelling back from Caen, Cherbourg or St Malo.
It is a shame that there is no restaurant, the pizzas are fine, but be ready for a cholesterol boost if you buy one!
