Arriving earlier than booked in (7.15pm instead of midday next day) after phoning ahead due to a good journey was met in heavy rain and quickly directed to emplacement. The following day after a good nights sleep set up the van and awning before registering. Excellent reception service and the staff throughout the site could not have been better. A meal in the restaurant that evening led to two other visits during our stay. Weather conditions had made the site very wet but as the ground broke up during the first week additional groundwork was undertaken with hardcore being added. Excellent fishing, good facilities (not all toilets etc were open due to only being part booked up). The only downside would be for persons with Mobility problems as the main areas ablutions are up steep slopes. However pitches near the excellent pool give good access to the nearby toilet block.There is some little noise from the nearby road if you are on the lower area of the site but not to the degree of being a nuisance. Big thank you to Fred and Valerie (and Constance and the remainder of the staff) whose presence was instrumental to us having a good relaxing holiday.
