Lovely site, very clean & welcoming

We stayed here in July/Aug 2014 for 2 weeks with our two children (7 + 11yrs).  Overall the site is clean, safe and the staff are welcoming and helpful. As we settled in the children could find their way around and make their own way to the small play area and to visit friends they had made while we packed the bags and followed on.  The shower blocks were kept clean, sometimes there were short queues but I just walked to another block and used that instead.  The restaurant is good although we thought it was a bit expensive and only ate there a couple of times preferring to self-cater at the Van.  Once or twice a week they do 'theme nights' e.g. USA where they provide a typical meal such as burger & fries and brownie for pudding & the staff dress up.  The regular menu isn't available on these nights but they accomodated me as a vegetarian with no fuss.  The washing machine/handwash area was great, I only once waited 10 mins for a machine.  The Pools were fun & we could always get a lounger up near the unheated pool which was fine for us but may be difficult if you have under-5s and need to be right next to the 'fun' pools.  The Pools were very well supervised by the staff including not bringing food into the area and reprimanding children (and adults!) who were being dangerous on the slides.  We didn't experience any mosquitos although it was very windy during our stay (even broke our sturdy gazebo) which must have chased them away.  Entertainment was fun, wifi poor, kids club fine (pony ride a health & safety nightmare!! completely chaotic - a child fell under the wheels of the 'trap' while we were there, luckily not badly injured) and site convenient for the lovely fishing village of Gruisson (not sure spelt that correctly) and city of Narbonne.  Although we really enjoyed our stay it wasn't quite 'large & lively' enough for our two children so we are staying elsewhere this year. That is not a criticism of the site, just a reflection of our kids getting older!
