May as well "wild camp"

Whilst the location and spaciousness of the pitches was excellent, the amenity facilities were woefully inadequate and poorly maintained. For such a large a site a lot of touring pitches, to have just one shared use amenity block was really not good. There were about only about 8 toilets and same number of showers. They were also very cramped and were really not kept that clean either (probably not surprising considering the intensity of use), and we were really staying off-season, in mid Sept, with most pitches unoccupied! Only one motorhome service point and all refuse/recycling bins right at the exit, a long way from our pitch. The location was excellent though, with easy walking access (20 mins) to Port en Bessin a lovely seaside town, and well located centrally for touring all 5 of the D-Day beaches. Great sea views through the hedges. So this really does though need a some investment to make what I consider acceptable amenity facilities for today's expectations. Maybe the operators need to visit a UK CAMC site for some tips!
