Fiesta Time

This story happened on: 10/08/2014

A short but sweet story of our first CC rally at the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, Ashton Court, Aug 7-10th 2014, with thanks to the Avon Centre. What a wonderful time we had in a lovely setting on Ashton Court School grounds just a few minutes stroll across a field to the free entry fiesta. Lots to see, lots to do, stalls, food, freebies, the BBC (Kate Adie and Larry Lamb talking about WW1.) A huge fairground, balloon nightglows, fireworks and the 6am and 6pm mass balloon flights. Yes we were there in our 'jamas at 6am with fellow ralliers admiring all the balloons going overhead!

Our friend Barry, great pal and an intrepid caravanner of many years knew we were off on this jaunt, "rally round the flag" he told us in his usual jokey way. So we did! We enjoyed it!

This story is dedicated to Barry who sadly died early this morning.

That's a proper 'story', Brue! Great pics too. Sorry for your loss.

Great pictures brue and really pleased you enjoyed your first rally.

I'm sorry to hear about Barry and my thoughts are with you. What a lovely idea to dedicate this story to him.
