FROM THE START

This story happened on: 01/01/2017

I have been camping, caravanning, and motor homing for more years than I care to remember. It started out when my late parents decided to buy a motor bike and side car tent etc. and pop me in the side car and off we went. Of course I don't have any recollection of this I'm just going by the stories my parents told me about our early hols together. Next came an Argassy (not sure if this is quite right) caravan it was green with corrugated looking sides that we pitched at a lovely site with a big wide shallow river at Llangollen under the watchful eye of Snowdonia in a valley within the Horse Shoe pass. Several years where then spent (in the new van a Fairhome) at Lake Windermere caravanning, boating and trout fishing.  Next we moved to Anglesey for a few more heavenly years spent in the woods and boating around Puffin Island.

A Dormobile followed next having got married living on my Father's Caravan Park in Hastings we traveled with our newly born son to the lakes and Scotland. many local overnights were spent on our days off from looking after the Caravan Park. I have now a new partner and have gone back to Caravaning with her and our two dog, firstly buying a small Elddis Storm GT then moving up to our present van another Elddis this time a Chiltington. We have been CC members for (on and off) many years and love the Club. The new direction  Caravan and Motorhome Club seems to be a step forward and promises improvements and diversity.

All the best and Keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeping Camping.
