180o turnaround

This story happened on: 03/05/2012

A few weeks back we went on a 2 week tour covering 3 CC Sites and 1 CL.

The first club site at Knaresborough had a few folk taking note of our arrival with bemused faces.

We had got everything set up, it was a lovely sunny day (2 days before the snow came) we'd just settled down to a cuppa and I commented on how hot it was, we then realised the sun was beating down on the van and the awning would be in the shade all day.

So, we decided to do a quick 180.

We took the pegs out of the ground, water from the tubs, and EHU out, I then operated the Motormover whilst the missus hoisted the awning up like a giant medieval frock, round we went, popped the awning down and set-up again to many many smiles and cheers from our fellow caravanners.

Facing the opposite way completely, ok'd it with the folk we were now facing (it was side on anyway) and settled down again. we now had the warmth of the sun all day.

The next 3 sites we checked North/South before we set-up and will always try to do so in future.
