A story of goodwill all around

This story happened on: 27/03/2012

We were on a CL site Shutt Nook Farm in November, as you can imagine the site (farmers field) was very wet and muddy. I got permission from the owner to have a motormover fitted friday afternoon, who drove down from Newton Aycliffe, as he set off he needed a push as it was muddy which I obliged. The CL owner had a heart attack and was rushed to hospital.

Saturday was my turn to get stuck, no-one around so we simply left the car and went walking round Ripley Castle and the grounds instead of going into Harrogate. Mamny hours later we were sat in the van when the owners son came and towed the car onto solid ground, his Father was "comfortable"

Sunday morning we went to Hampswaite to pay our respects as it was Poppy Day, locals were ever so nice as we were only visiting and even our dog had a poppy on his collar.

We got back to the site and another caravanner came up and towed my van onto solid ground without hestitation as I dont own a 4x4.

The owners son had time to thank us before we went on our way and he did the chores before going to see his Father and we sent our best wishes.

So, all in all a very helpful weekend where caravanners and site owners looked after each other.with goodwill all round.

I hope the fella is OK now, we arent a million miles away this coming weekend so may pop in to see if he's alright.
