The tale of Scuf and the fox.

While staying at Rockly Park in Poole one spring I had a most comic night with my Belgian Shepherd Dog, Scuf and the resident fox's.
I was on the phone to to my girl friend at about 3am, we are insomniacs! I heard this fox barking really loud so I went outside to have a peek, well, this fox is only 20ft away & barking at Scuf, it was great to see one. Scuf was just sat there staring as if to say "come on then if you think you're hard enough". Well I just left them to it & got back to my phone call, but by about 4am the barking seemed to be comming from one place then another, so I go out for an investigate. Scuf had enough he'd chewed through his lead & gone fox chasing round the campsite and oh my God what racket! So off I go to retrieve him, I go scambling up this wet embankment & slipped full on face down in the mud, bugger! I then see Scuf rounding the corner below me so having righted myself I about turn & yes you've guessed it do another slip & land flat on my back! Well I finally rounded up the hairy one & get him inside the camper. I am caked in mud & bruised & my girl friend is saying hello hello on the phone because I've been gone so long!

So funny! The thought of another caravanner being woken by the racket, looking out the window and seeing this apparition covered in mud sticks in the mind!  LOLOL   :)
