Anglo - Duttch co-operation

This story happened on: 03/07/2012

Whilst on holiday in France staying at a lovely site in Tournus we were asked for assistance by a Dutch couple who had an old, exceptionally heavy caravan if we could help them push their van onto their chosen pitch, which was on a slight up hill slope. Much huffing and puffing there was no way the van would move. Extra help came along that made six of us but that van was not going anywhere. Then a fellow country man of the couple shouted wait a minute and produced two small blocks of wood. The men were then instructed to pull the A frame left and right whilst myself and his wife placed the blocks alternatively under the wheels. The caravan then proceeded up the slope in a crab wise movement. How simple was that hope this info helps anyone else in a similar predicament.
