Bright idea

This story happened on: 18/03/2012

My ageing Compass Omega has suffered for a while with failing marker lights, the contacts having rusted, which causes premature bulb failure, or simple lack of lighting due to poor contacts. I have replaced them with smart looking modern LED marker lights which incorporate a reflector and look much brighter at night, whilst putting less of a drain on the car battery. A very worthwhile conversion for anyone with similar lighting issues. I'm now looking for a suitably streamlined LED lamp to replace the chunky original over the door in the awning.

Most people are now going for the simple neon strip lights which are very bright and can easily be wired straight into the 12v system existings circuit with now issues. In fact they use a lot less power than a standard 12v bulb.
