#XploreMore 2014 - Site 25 - Market Rasen

After Ferry Meadows, Market Rasen felt quite small and very relaxed - you could see from one side of the site to the other! As an affiliated site, owned by the racecourse, it has its own personality, influenced greatly by the neighbouring tracks and grand stand. Within the racecourse is a 9-hole golf course easily accessible from the caravan site for those eager golfers.

 

Ann and Rob, (resident for 12 years on the site!) are seasoned wardens. They greet you upon arrival and their central pitch beside the reception means that they are the hub of the site. If not in the office, they can regularly be seen chatting to members. Their beautiful dog is also a star attraction.

 

For those not interested in horses or golf, there are plenty of walks to be had including the Viking Way, 2 miles away. Alternatively a trip to the coast to Skegness is an option if not exploring the surrounding area.

 

We only stayed here for two nights but managed to complete a few more challenges, getting ever closer to our final century.
