Celebrity 5 Go Motorhoming… on Club sites

30/08/2017

Celebrity 5 Go Motorhoming is a new warm, gentle and funny four part series. Five celebrities escape the hustle and bustle of their showbiz lives to hit the road in motorhomes to experience life on campsites and enjoy the freedom of the open road.

Lesley Joseph, Don Warrington, Melvyn Hayes, Nick Heyward and Cleo Rocos adventure across Wales and Scotland, in a visually striking and good natured travelogue about friendship and discovery.

The Caravan and Motorhome Club were delighted to assist the celebrities with their adventure by providing expert motorhome manoeuvring training to build their confidence, showing them how to manoeuvre, carry out safety checks, provide essential maintenance and explain the motoring laws affecting motorhome drivers. The Club also arranged for them to stay at its Coed-Y-Llywn Club site in Wales.

Coed-Y-Llywn Caravan and Motorhome Club Site is located in the glorious lush surroundings of Snowdonia National Park and is ideal for lovers of the great outdoors.  There are three beautiful landscape gardens within 10 miles of the site. Portmeiron is the most famous and has stunning views over Dwyryd estuary. The lesser known is Plas Tan Y Bwlch, 13 acres of Victorian woodland trails. There is also Plas Brondanw with its stunning view of Snowdon and Cnicht.

The newest attraction in Snowdonia is "Surf Snowdonia" (approx. 50min drive/27 miles from the Site). It is the world's first inland surfing lagoon, with continuous rolling waves. It caters for beginners as well as experienced surfers and has free entry and parking for spectators.

Harvey Alexander, Caravan and Motorhome Club Director of Marketing, said, “It’s great to see this leisure pursuit is the focus of a new television series.  We really hope it inspires even more people to start motorhoming and caravanning.  As Europe’s leading touring Club, we were delighted to help the celebrities get the most from their time away in motorhomes and really get to see, first-hand, the fun and adventures that can be enjoyed on a touring holiday.  Motorhoming is an increasingly popular holiday, the Club has seen an increase in motorhome membership and holiday bookings by motorhomers are up by nearly 10% this season.”
