Snap your walk: The Caravan and Motorhome Club launches UK‑wide Walking Month photo competition
14/05/2026
The Caravan and Motorhome Club is celebrating National Walking Month with the launch of a UK-wide photography competition, inviting members to share their favourite walks from across its network of UK Club campsites with the chance to win a three-night stay.
Members can enter The Walking Wanderers Photo Competition by submitting one image captured on a walk starting from, or close to, a UK Club campsite or Certificated Location (CL) during a campsite stay in May. Entries should be uploaded to the Walking Wanderers Group on Club Together through the competition’s discussion thread, alongside the campsite name and a short description of the route.
The competition is open for the duration of May and the results will be announced in the first week of June. Entries will be decided by community “likes”. The winner will receive three free nights at a UK Club campsite of their choice.

The campaign also supports Mental Health Awareness Week (11–17 May), with this year’s theme focused on ‘action’, encouraging the Club’s one million members to build simple, regular walks into their touring stays as an accessible way to support both physical and mental wellbeing.
To inspire entries, the Club has highlighted White Water Park Club Campsite in County Durham as its Walking Wanderers Walk of the Month for May.
Set on Tees Barrage Way in Stockton-on-Tees, the campsite offers an ideal base for exploring the North East on foot. Sitting alongside the Tees Barrage International White-Water Centre, the campsite combines easy access to on-site facilities, more than 30 miles of nearby coastline, and food, shopping and leisure options at Teesside Park.
May Walk of the Month: White Water Park Riverside Walk
Starting directly from the campsite, this accessible 9.6km (six-mile) circular walk traces the River Tees, pairing peaceful waterside views with glimpses of the region’s industrial heritage and ongoing regeneration.
The mostly flat route passes a series of striking landmarks - including the Infinity Bridge, Newport Bridge and the iconic Tees Transporter Bridge - blending open riverside stretches with eye-catching engineering features.
Moving between greener, quieter sections and more vibrant urban areas, the walk showcases the evolving character of the Tees corridor. Suitable for a wide range of abilities, it can be completed in just over two hours, with convenient transport links available for an easy return journey.
Walking Wanderers is the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s year‑long initiative inspiring members to explore the outdoors on foot, log their walks via the Club website, and enjoy the health and wellbeing benefits of walking, with a monthly prize draw rewarding participation.
