Plitvice Holiday Resort is situated on the main A1 Zagreb road only 8 kms from the stunning Plitvice Lakes National Park - A stunning Unesco World Heritage site consisting of a chain of 16 terraced lakes joined by waterfalls accessed by well maintained walkways and boats. It's simply just stunning and should not be missed on any trip to Croatia.

Lots of sporting activities around the area also include zip wires/kayaking/horse riding and are all nearby the site.

This delightful small site has been recently developed and it now boasts a fabulous 3 tiered outdoor pool including a lovely pool bar and outdoor terrasse to sunbathe on after a trek around the lakes.

There has been a second sanitary block built at the top of the pool area and the chemical toilet /service area /Dog shower are now just at the front of the site to the left of the restaurant accessible on foot past the barrier or to drive into.

The restaurant is very popular and has great local dishes and also serves a buffet style breakfast and there is a well stocked shop next to it.

Quiet spacious site

Plitvice Holiday Resort
Quiet spacious site. Three small interlinked pools - more for a dip than a swim. There are now no free sun loungers (they are all locked up) - they now charge extra (€5 each) which seems a bit mean- so people take their own chairs or sit on the floor. It is a long walk back up the hill from the showers. There are nearer toilets nearer the pool but the shower rooms there need to be paid for! Everything very clean and tidy. One washing machine (€7).

Plitvice Holiday Resort

We came here to visit the national park, which is an easy 5 miles away. The park is stunning, well worth a visit. About £20 entry which includes boardwalks, boat and train ride. Catering available and I believe you can take picnics. The site is undergoing building work, l think of the pool area, so this wasn’t available. The pitches are large and have a gravel surface, with all services. Some access issues for large outfits like ours (5 m car+ 8 m caravan) with a dodgy motor mover! There is a bar, but we only went once as it was soooo smokey. The restaurant was nice and there is a well stocked shop. There only appears to be one sanitary block, which was dated, freezing but spotlessly clean. Think this could be an issue when the site is busy. .

Comment from the Club

Thankyou for your information about the National Park. As regards the pool area the site was upgrading the pool and bar. Our inspector visited the site in early July and it is all now finished with a lovely outdoor bar area on the pool terrace. There is also a 2nd sanitary facility that has been built up from the swimming pool.

Great site, great location

Plitvice Holiday Resort
Nice, modern, well maintained site close to the stunning Plitvice National Park. She is a mix of camping, motorhomes, caravans and self catering apartments. Kids Club, Swimming Pool, minigolf, outdoor gym, table tennis and beach volleyball. Reasonable restaurant on site. Pitches spacious. Main downside is that the sanitation block is too small for a site of this size, and that laundry only has one washing machine, so you have to queue (and if you have driven this far from home you almost certainly need to do washing)

Plitvice Holiday Resort
A great site very well placed for easy access to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. A bus stops right outside the site. Good cycling once you get off the main road. Very well maintained site good facilities, restaurant and bar serves its purpose descent food at a good price. Sanitary facilities modern and very clean. Swimming pool lovely but we didn't get the weather to use it sadly. Other good sports facilities on site also. I would definitely recommend this site for a three or four night stay. Time of stay May 2019.
