A lively site in the summer, Les Peneyrals makes for an entertaining family holiday in high season, but a quieter break off-peak. Set in the rolling hills between the Dordogne and Vézère river valleys, it has a natural feel with level, grassy pitches that offer some shade and small fishing lake at the bottom of the site.
During the summer, activities such as archery, aquagym and children’s clubs are available, as well as evening entertainment which takes place around the bar and terrace. Many of the facilities are open even in the early part of the season.
The beautiful town of Sarlat-la-Canéda is nearby and well worth a visit, as are the châteaux and prehistoric sites in the area. Less than an hour’s drive is the stunning cliffside village of Rocamadour.
Sarlat, Beynac, La Roque, Gageac, Lascaux, Padirac caves, Canoeing on the River Dordogne.
