Volunteer with us

We are fortunate to have volunteers working with us throughout the business, from shows and events to our executive committee. The great thing about us is that almost anyone can volunteer!

UK Club campsites

Our UK Club campsites network of volunteers supports the Site Managers in providing excellent levels of service and creating a safe, relaxed and enjoyable holiday environment for all our visitors by carrying out tasks assigned by the Site Managers.

Certificated Location Inspectors

The Certificated Location (CL) Advisor volunteer would be expected to visit each CL in their agreed area once per year, during the busier time of the season, to check that the conditions of the certificate are being met and to provide support and knowledge for CL owners.

Winter Sun holiday / European Tour Hosts

The role of the Holiday/Tour Host is to assist the group on all matters relating directly to the holiday. This can include arriving early to ensure everything is in order, assisting members on their pitches upon arrival, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the holiday, planning group activities and meals.

Club committees

The committees and their members play a pivotal role in the running of the Caravan and Motorhome Club. The Executive Committee manages our affairs and delegates some responsibilities to subordinate committees.

Shows and events

As a shows and events volunteer, you'll work at our temporary and event campsites. Your duties may include daily toilet block cleaning, stock replenishment, welcoming arrivals, and liaising with external vendors.

Emergency Services

Our Emergency Services volunteers assist in driving cars, caravans and motorhomes back from Europe in case of member emergencies, or will drive a UK rental car to members across Europe.

What to expect as a volunteer

For most of our volunteer roles, you won't need any experience. For some, you will need to be a confident and experienced tourer with a caravan and/or motorhome. You may be required to have a current license and be able to drive heavy vehicles. You'll ideally possess excellent people and communication skills.

To volunteer with us, you'll need to be a current member.

What you can expect from us

  • We offer equal opportunities to everyone who wants to volunteer.
  • We strive to create an environment where everyone feels respected and valued for their unique potential.
  • We'll provide you with everything you need to be successful in your volunteering role, including induction and training where applicable.
  • We'll provide you with the opportunity to learn and develop your skills.
  • We'll make sure you know who your primary contacts are.
  • We'll work with you to solve any problems at the earliest stage.

What we can expect from you

  • You should carry out your volunteer role to the best of your ability and complete any essential training for your role.
  • You should treat all volunteers, staff and members of the public with respect.
  • You should follow our policies, procedures, guidelines and standards, and ask if you are unsure of anything.
  • You should follow our Code of Conduct.
  • You should be a positive ambassador of the Caravan and Motorhome Club.
  • You should meet agreed working times and let us know at the earliest stage if you can no longer volunteer so we can make alternative arrangements.
  • Please understand that volunteering is an unpaid role and will not create related employment rights.
