With a comfortable interior and excellent spec, this compact Ford Transit-based four-berth has a great deal of appeal for couples coming in at just over 6 metres in length and with a maximum gross weight of just 3500KG this compact van offers a great deal. The Adamo range come on a Ford Transit 1995CC engine putting out 160BHP coupled with Ford’s auto gearbox for a comfortable driving experience, and are all finished in smart metallic silver. The cab is well-appointed, with everything from air conditioning to lots of good storage to the padded, car-like steering wheel with multiple switches. The standard offering is a single-DIN unit that gives you DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity. Cab blinds are standard on all Adamo motorhomes now, too. There are also a host of safety features in this Bailey Adamo 60-4 motorhome, going way beyond twin airbags, to automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, to make your drive all the most re-assuring. Coming in through the habitation door, you’re aided by a lit grab handle, as well as a sturdy handle on the door. There are two coat hooks just above, and the TV bracket ideally placed so a TV placed here could be seen by everyone in the lounge. In the lounge area, there’s foldaway Aguti convertible travelling seats incorporating ISOFIX fixings under each of the settees. These are easy to assemble as required, and offer good legroom and a window for each passenger, the type of additions that can make a difference when you’re thinking about buying a motorhome.  The settees are comfortable, and with the cab seats swivelled, there is easily room for six to enjoy a meal on the large fold-out pedestal table.  The table is fixed but it has electric height adjustment, and can be moved manually fore-and-aft, so there should be no problem getting the most convenient dining position. The drop-down bed only lowers part-way, but a ladder is provided to access it and is ideal if you occasionally take children away with you. The lower bed is made by dropping the table and adjusting the cushions. Or if you prefer the bed can be lowered into the lowest setting allowing a couple the benefit of a ready made bed for night time use. The kitchen comes with a sizeable extension flap for the work surface, which doesn’t intrude too much into the lounge. The sink is a fine size, and you get the usual Bailey wooden hob cover over the dual-fuel four-burner hob and separate oven and grill. There are two mains sockets here, and a 141-litre Thetford fridge just across the aisle. Step up from the kitchen and you enter a very impressive, full-width washroom via a solid door. There’s a swivel-bowl toilet with wardrobe as well as a shelved locker beyond, a countertop square(ish) handbasin, and a separate shower cubicle with folding door access. Overall equipment levels in this Bailey Adamo 60-4 motorhome are excellent. Heating and hot water are courtesy of Truma’s Combi 4E system. An 80Watt solar panel is also included and there’s pre-wiring for on-board wi-fi.  Another addition to the Transit is the FordPass Connect app, which not only gives you full updates on the Transit (oil and water levels, tyre pressures, battery condition etc) but will also warn you if it’s been left unlocked. It will even tell you where to find your vehicle if you’ve lost it!
